42  General / General Board / Re: Snap Sacs on: March 26, 2017, 12:47:08 PM
There are two size holes...just try with the clips
there is just over a mm difference
The photo may be misleading..all the holes without the snap sacs are the same... smaller than the snap sac holes

I also checked with a rear sedan door ..they have snap sacs along the bottom, all the hinge side inc the top one and one on the opening side
half way around the curve

8 snap sacs and 5 clip holes in total

47  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: FE radiator cowling/shroud on: January 27, 2017, 09:56:47 PM
John how hot does it get
at cruising and at idle...I know that you dont get to a great speed so the engine should not get too hot ?

I have been across the paddock 3 times in my ute without a temp gauge
I have a modern 3core radiator core with original tanks and haven't put water in on either trip
One of the trips that I did without company I sat on 68 - 70 mph for the whole trip
The other I came back with Jim and again did not put water in

Cheers gary

G'day Harv

Black sender is EJ on  part No. 7418881

The brown sender...No. 741533 ..The original part no for the late FJ eng no. 173093 FE FC EK  was 7407528 and was superseded by 7419533

So the early Fe had the same sender as the later one.Huh

I have NOS 7419533(Brown) and 7418881(Black) but dont have a box with 7407528

An unusual item to advertise a Holden dealer on...makes a great conversation starter.
There were quite a few dealers..not just Holden that used milk bottles back in the day.
