Hi guys just a question the new ute goes really well but already I’m thinking about some additional bling there’s a place in Victoria that sell remanufactured stromies mounted on new twin carbie manifolds they look great in the eBay pics has anybody had any experience with these or should I wait and try and pic up a period correct set. Cheers Peter

Ha ha Vern I’m working on your suggestions at the moment and have already procured some of the aforementioned. Already had the wax onboard and Malibu sticking out from under the tourneau cover. Peter

Thanks all again for the tips re fish oil . In amongst all the bits and pieces I got with the new ute was a old HMV Little nipper car radio I had a go at doing an underdash install it looks ok, turned it on it lit up and after warming up it crackles as you try to tune it in I didn’t get a aerial with it so when I get one and plug it in hopefully it works. Can anybody recommend a good aerial to get and where, maybe old school if possible. Also I’m not sure if I should drill a hole in passenger side guard or in the air vent cowl ? Looked at some of your members pics and most seem to be in the mudguard. Advice re pitfalls would be appreciated or is there another solution I can use to avoid drilling holes seem to remember gutter mounted aerials in the distant past. Thanks again Peter

Thank you Harv and Clay for the tips and advice, seems like fish oil is still the go to product have used it years ago but wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to use. Spent last night gently scrapping and hoovering up dust and I think bodysealer that was randomly applied between inner and outer panels I assume in the manufacturing process that is now hard and brittle. Off to get the fisholine and gun. Merry Christmas Peter

Hi guys my first post hopefully in the right place? Picked up my new fe ute a few days ago after a few years of looking ,it had a resto 18 years ago and still looks ok .Started taking out the removable panels inside the ute tub to check condition of the void between the outside skin and tub were it meets underneath the tub floor was pleasantly surprised to fine very little to no corrosion. Would like to get recomendations on treatment to preserve the status quo and any good products that are out there. Thanks in advance Peter
