5  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: FC Holden Rear Indicators on: January 15, 2017, 07:24:44 PM
I did the same as Hadyn. Mine wasn't original or complete, so ran 5 core trailer wire to the back of the wagon & used amber lenses as my clears were broken.

8  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Aluminium Radiators on: May 22, 2016, 08:18:46 PM
I dont know if this applies to older cars, but we had a Aluminium Radiator fail on a VN calais due to water in the tail lights causing a crook earth & stray current.
Radiator bloke says it will attack rads & welsh plugs. Just something to be aware of maybe.

I had mine done at a radiator place in Wollongong. Repaired, dipped & had a sealer done on the inside.

Great day on Sunday seeing it running around, beats playing golf. Less frustration, & you can still have a beer at the end.

Bit of fun getting it on the trailer. One hub missing, so we had to skid it up on the bootlid & 3 wheels.

Not yet Ken. Non survivor, had fertilizer or something in the boot. In the process of dismantling as my landlord only has a small amount of patience for "junk". He has no concept of the term rusty gold. Engine number wont match as it is an early FE block.

19  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: I am the patron saint of lost causes . . . on: November 24, 2015, 07:31:25 PM
Hey Rob. Glad to see you had some fun with it. It had been sitting in that FC ute I picked up for 20 years i know of. So..................... I had it stored under cover for about 8 weeks. I think that made all the difference..............................don't you think?

Well, if anyone is up for a similar challenge, I have just dragged in a non-surviver FC standard sedan. According to Rob, it is an early FE engine number ,with possibly an FX head. (this one owes me, so some cost will be involved)There will be some other bits available as time goes on. Rob & Crumpsnr (who half owns this one with me) have their orders in.
I'll get some tag/chassis numbers for Ken shortly.
