The members forum name is FE 4 ME in Queensland, $15 and he will send a link to download the complete catalogue. I have it and found it very useful during my rebuild. Not sure if he is still around as his last post was back in January. Best thing to do is send him a message and see if you get a reply. Jim

Hi Rob, I’m fairly sure the floor pan I had for my rebuild may have been an EK one. If you look at my build page the photo of the pan shows a U shape pressing on the left side top at the joint seam. When I removed the FC floor it didn’t have that pressing in it. Check yours and the EK one and do some measurements to be sure, would be a lot easier job if it fits. Jim

I wouldn’t be overly concerned about the oversized plates, it’s better to be to large than to small. From memory I made my plates 100x75x3mm for the parcel shelf and inner guards, 200x75x3mm for the b pillars and I changed the floor plate to 1000x100x3mm and bent it to fit under the tunnel. I’ve replied to your message with the page number on my build page with pictures. Jim

Just a bit of advice guys, if you are putting side and middle belts in i.e. RH, LH and centre the ADR’s now require a separate anchor point for all belts. I had to redo mine as I only had one either side of the tunnel for the side buckles and the centre lap belt.

Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: Rear Window Rubber

They are different, the FJ rubbers are a “H” section, which means they fit over the body and the screen then fits into the rubber. The FE is an “S” section, which needs both the screen and rubber as well as the moulds to be all fitted together then installed as a complete unit. The FJ screens are smaller than the opening in the body and the FE screen is larger. Hope this helps.

I said the same thing, you jack up most two doors in that fashion and the doors won’t open. His answer was, you are changing your vehicle from standard and modifying the chassis so I need to be sure the vehicle is structurally sound and it is my name going on the report, so I need to be statisfied that it will not fail. Hi Steve welcome aboard, looks an interesting project lots of metalwork underneath. With regard to the stress test, if it’s the same thing my engineer was talking about a few years ago, they will jack the car up at the rear corner and the go to the opposite side and open the doors and then repeat on the other side. If they can open the doors with no problem, then the frame is strong enough. Jim

I’all have to check Ken, it’s been a while since I’ve done anything on the car. I tried to fit the FC one but the brake lines or the hose didn’t fit. Is there a difference between the hoses? I think I have tried another block where the lines fit but the hose doesn’t. Jim
