Hi, I know of an engineer who can do this.  He did my car, which was virtually the same.  I will send a pm with his contact details as these days he does not advertise, just happy to have his contact pass on by word of mouth.

4  For Sale and Wanted / Cars Wanted / FE Stocky on: January 08, 2009, 09:57:27 AM
Hi all.
I am now looking for a FE Stocky!  Can be a sedan, wagon or ute.  Prefer stock as possible, but not looking for a show car, just a good clean honest car for sunday drives, club runs etc.  Need something that doesn't need much work, as I am now not in a position to do so.  I have just sold a recent unfinished project, due to personal reasons I couldn't finish it.  I would like to keep a FE again, but can't do too much work.

Thanks

Michael

Set of tripple carbs - manifold and carbys, no airfilters.  Haven't had them on a car, so would probably do with a clean up.  Can post a pic, if you want.  Was looking at around $300 + postage costs or the best offer.

Also a set of 4 inch peep mirrors - straight arm with a slight kink, hadn't seen this type before buying them. Brand new still in the box $80 or best offer.

You should have watched all of it as they went back to earlier models etc.  I didn't think it was too bad!  I was interested in the fact that the VE is totally a new design and the money Holden spent.  I didn't think that HD's had the option of disc brakes?  I thought this started with the HR?

Overall, I enjoyed watching it, even though we copped a huge thunderstorm toward the end and missed a little.

NC lacquers are still used in other industries, but not in automotive.  I know that you can obtain NC lacquers with UV protection for metal finishes, but haven't heard of these being used on cars or the like.

If it is a sedan, then a LC LJ Torana tank will fit in!  Although this may be just as hard to find as a FE FC tank.

Gday,
Is the swap meet ok?  Is it worth travelling up from north of Brisbane?  Also what time is it open for lookers?

Thanks

17  General / General Board / Re: What's wrong with this pic? on: September 13, 2008, 04:31:25 AM
I am only asking the question about the vents, because I have been wondering whether they were always exactly the same dimensions and position on the body.  As holden would change some things as they  went along in production, and/or do things different in diffent cities / production plants.  I am not meaning to critise the van, it is very nice indeed!

Does anyone know who owns the FE Van??  The vents in the side panels don't appear to be the correct size, and are in the wrong place??

19  For Sale and Wanted / Auction and Trade Links / Re: bit pricey ? on: September 04, 2008, 05:14:10 AM
I emailed the seller and explained that I had 6 of these rare full circle horn rings, and basically let him know the true value.  I see the price has dropped significantly, but still on the high side for a starting bid.

John,
You must be shattered!  Have you used the same painter for all of your cars?  The thought of having to go back to square one for repainting would upsetting.  If you need any help, yell out!! Happy to give a hand if you need it.
