You would of all have guessed that this was inevitable.
As President of your Club I have no choice in making the following decision as the health and well being of every individual is of paramount importance. Given the current situation with the Covid-19 virus shutting down Australia, it’s in the best interests of our Members, family and friends that until further notice all Club activities are put on hold. This means no club meetings, social get together s, cruising or events. I trust that we all do the right thing and practice social distancing, however it doesn't mean to disconnect from each other. There are many ways we can interact using social media, Face book, Messenger, the FE FC Holden Discussion Forum, Email and the good ole fashion phone.
My employer has asked me to take annual leave at first, as I'm in the high risk group due to various medical conditions, past and present. Even though I'm healthy and young, I will be self isolating with my family to reduce the risk of falling ill. Please, let’s all stay at home and only venture out for buying basic necessities such as food and if you’re lucky enough, essential employment. Let us all do our bit to stop this disease from spreading. A short time sacrifice is better than being a long time dead!

I have seen a disc brake conversion on an EK front end, however the braking force tends to place extra load on the king pins causing premature wear and tear.
Ronno - I have 185/80 x 13 Maxxis on my FB sedan. I've tried other sizes that come close but the steering, handling and acceleration doesn't quite feel right. Unless you've driven with original size tyres you properly wouldn't be any wiser on what you're missing out on.
Hi John, I've had many years of experience on the Huck braking system. Firstly check the brakes have not been adjusted slightly on the 'tight side' as I have experienced. I've always used a smear of never seize grease on the pivot points of the brake shoe and where the side of brake shoe contacts the backing plate. Careful you don't get any lubricant on the linings of the brake shoes. Providing the wheel cylinders are not sticking or the metal wheel cylinder dust caps are not full of gunk, I would do the following;
1. I normally adjust the brake shoes evenly on each side of the wheel cylinder with the brake drum off then slip the brake drum on making sure it still can be freely rotated by hand. 2. I then fit wheel and tension wheel nuts correctly with wheel brace so not to distort mounting face. 3. If you over tension wheel nuts the brake drum will distort causing wheel to lock. 4. I adjust one brake shoe until it locks the brake drum then back it off until you hear the brake shoe touching the brake drum as you rotate wheel. 5. Repeat this on the other brake shoe. 6. I would also pump the brake pedal to 'centralise' the brake shoes and repeat steps 4 & 5 again to make sure there is just enough brake shoe drag to freely rotate wheel. 7. I then repeat this on each wheel. May I also note that the brake shoe return springs have not lost their tension. Hope this helps.

Hey Surferboy, Remove rubber dust cover at back of head light. Release the tension of the spring loaded clip that holds the light bulb in. Globe should fall out.

Hi Graham, Is it the pitman arm that has excessive movement or the the steering box sector shaft that it's connected to? If the steering box is adjusted to maximum, does that mean it's worn out causing the car to wander? Is there excessive free play in the steering wheel (having to rock wheel left to right to keep car steering straight)? From experience pitman arms rarely wear out. Most commonly the idler arm wears out. Give me a call on 0419 813 086. I can look at it for you this weekend if you like.
I have a limited supply of brand new Premtech Grey Motor Water Pumps. These are the same as previously supplied in the past to Members. Quality cast iron pumps with backing plate and 2 screws, gaskets and fitting instructions. First in best dressed in order of email received. I can bring them to Tuesday night’s meeting or pick up in Munster 6166. Cost is $100 cash. There are other brands out there that sell between $115 to $140 plus (see ebay).
