3  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Air Chief Radio  - Face Plate on: November 04, 2002, 06:35:24 AM
I am trying to locate a faceplate for an Air Chief radio - that is, the black bakelite plate that fits around the radio face with a little "Air Chief" badge on the top front.

Somone told me that a guy called John Carr (Canberra disrict) may make reproductions, but I have been unable to get his contact details.   Roll Eyes

Any assistance in tracking him down would be appreciated.

4  Technical Board / General Technical / CHROMING DIE-CAST on: August 31, 2001, 07:29:21 AM
I had the headlight rims on my FE re-chromed about 5 years ago - a great job at the time, but alas, there are now bubbles appearing from under the chrome.

If I was to get them re-done, is there any special treatment that will stop the die-cast from bubbling?
