It’s very hard to see in your photo, the top trim should line up nicely with the side trims. There is a little bit of a gap at the top. If it is not seated properly you will have to take it out and start again unfortunately.

FE door mirror continued from FJ. I’m not sure how far it went along the model sequence but it is very identifiable with NASCO cast into the stalk. Quite rare It was advertised in all the Holden publications through FE and FC

There is some truth in that statement, not the bit about donating a huge some of money lol, but a lot of cars do get offered to car clubs at good prices. Most cars I have owned were bought through being offered to the FE FC club of VIC. Elderly people especially don’t want to advertise on line, but prefer to contact a car club. Call it a perk of volunteering to work at running a car club, or putting yourself in the right place at the right time.

Did you try adjusting the push rod before pulling apart? Was clutch slipping under acceleration? If answers are yes to the first and no to the second, then it sounds more like clutch fork issue. Very common to have a cracked fork.

General / General Board / Re: Price advice steering column

Really, the steering wheel, horn ring and button are worth more than the rest put together. Should be able to get $100 to $150 for the column. The steering wheel trio maybe $200 to $250 if in good useable condition. Price drops if the steering wheel has cracks through it, horn ring is pitted and button faded.
