Technical Board / General Technical / Re: FUEL LINES ???

Mark An alternative is to take your old fuel line to a brake specialists, and they can make you a new fuel line in the bigger Bundy tube (Bundy tube is steel tubing which has been copper coated, simple explanation anyway). Brake specialists bend this tube all the time.

Dean Effie has a HR front (Discs) and HR rear diff fitted and also seatbelts fitted to the front and rear (huge modifications), these are mods in Qld which are certified and approved by registered certifiers, Effie has the paperwork and the compliance plate fitted for all these mods. Like yours ACT rego where quite fine with the acceptance of the Qld certifcation, Just NSW trying to make up for years of slack arse car inspections; and no doubt trying to get Ian for more fees.

I'll take the EK metal seat surrounds if they are OK to fit the FC Ute seat.
Kevin Kevin they fit except for the mounting screw brackets (on the bottom of the FC seat) are in a different place, not hard to move them thou. I used the FB ?Ek corners on Effie C John M

Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: HR Rear end
|
on: February 02, 2006, 10:18:01 PM

Ray You will have to modify the handbrake cable / mounts to make it fit; also you will have to change the rear uni joint on your tailshaft. If possible use the HR mounting saddles and bolts to the rear springs and not your current U Bolts. You will also have to use a combination of spring to saddle mounting rubbers, from memory the HR unit on top and an FC ute bottom rubber (it is thicker then the sedan rubber, rares have them). The ute rubbers just make it easier to get the bolts to take up, if using sedan rubber suggest getting new bolts with a slightly longer thread then the standard ones.

Thanks Craig, Max would not even come out to see effie go. I can see some serious making up is going to be needed. The new owner has already joined this site and I think he will be contacting the NSW club. By the way Effie has converted him as he was a ford fan, apparently his friends from the capri club think he has lost the plot. If only they could see the light themselves.
See yas around John m

Sounds like the electronic module in the distributor has gone west, the module switches on the negative side of coil. Really only two ways to check, fit a new one or take to auto spark / tuning house and get them to test with their gear. Effie C

Rusty The other FC (commonly termed as f'ing C) had a depress four speed with 14" wheels and 3.55 ratio, just perfect around town and on the highway, it was mounted behind a grey. Effie C
