4521  Technical Board / Modification Help / Custom Grilles on: December 08, 2002, 06:56:34 AM
Can anyone pass on any tips/info on making a custom grille?
I would like to do something like Alex's old grille
Any help appreciated!

I guess seeing as it was my idea in the first place, I will put up my hand to organise the entries. Also, I know a guy that has been involved in Street Machining for quite sometime I am sure he will oblige with judging.

Can I suggest 2 categories?

1. For the beginners, a line drawing (if Alex allows it, the FC Woodie currently takes pride of place on my desktop)

2. Advanced, a photo or maybe a selection of 2-3.

As for prizes, who wants to offer something?
Maybe a free membership for a year?

Just wondering where you got the that link from?
I know I posted it on the SMASA Web Site (http://www.smasa.com.au) but I actually got from another source. Just wondering, maybe someone does look at the SMASA site after all Smiley

not Meadows, Hope Valley though.

I did go along to an SA meeting once with a view to joining, problem is living so far out of town. Work and family commitments, plus I am also a member of the Street Machine Association (and web site editor - http://www.smasa.com.au check it out!).  Tongue

Hi Suzanne
Is that Suzanne H, if so you emailed me through the SMASA web-site. Have fun and I hope you find the stuff you are after.

Just beware of the older members though, they will try to lead you away from the FB at any chance Smiley

Cheers
Glenn

Well that's torn it!
Here's the picture CraigA had doen for me a while back.

It is intended as a long term "period custom", there is a rusty FC Wagon in the back paddock and a set of 13x6 and 14x7 Tasmans sitting in the tool shed. I just need some wood!

You like that one Harko?

What do you think CraigA, shall I post that "project" that you created for me a month or two back?

Maybe we should've tried it with a chop top too!

Man, that does it, take this!

I know just the person to judge, he has just finished a 4 1/2 year stint at the helm of SMASA (http://www.smasa.com.au) and is a '50s/Rock and Roll junkie who can appreciate a good custom or two.

He won't be back at work until the 2nd of September though and is PC Challenged at home.

I guess this would also disqualify me from entering, oh well. Here's a little something I knocked up from and old nationals banner.

ozfueler
Can you give me some details please.
Suburbs, Adelaide and Melbourne, so that if they can't deliver direct at least they can get it to a depot near you.

Cheers

Try some of the smaller firms in the Yellow Pages, I recently shipped a big block from Port Pirie to Adelaide for $30, the company were only too keen for the business.

What about Rail?

If you get really desperate, post a personnal message here, I know a bloke who runs plants between Adel and Melb. I could see if he was interested or he might know someone who is.

Why not post a photo of an FE or FC, preferably side on with a simple background (plain wall) and see what people can do to it? Assign a non-partial judge and a closing date, then go for it!

Are any of these what you are after?

Thanks Ken.
4536  General / General Board / Nasco Radiator on: July 23, 2002, 12:32:27 PM
I have a radiator amongst all the FE/C parts I got with my car. I noticed a NASCO badge on it aswell as a Holden stamp. Are these radiators sought after?
The unit looks in good used condition from the outside with some scratches and a few bent fins. What sort of price would it go for?
4537  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: Clarion CeNet CD Changer on: July 20, 2002, 10:01:06 AM
I think there is one here -
http://www.doranproaudio.com.au/products/product.asp?catID=3&subcatID=151

a bit expensive though, I found that one by using http://www.yahoo.com.au and typing in "Clarion CeNet 6 CD Changer" there are plenty more links if you want to go look.

Good Luck.
4538  General / General Board / Re: Ambitious? on: July 05, 2002, 10:21:27 AM
Now I am really scared!
Follow the original instructions, yes the Waikerie FE is back!

This time with a photo,

same price too $50,000.

I might have to call this guy just to see if he is fair dinkum.

Hey Harko
So the screens are perspex, do you know of any chops with real glass, I have always been curious about this. How do go sitting in it, I have always thought chop-tops are cool but a little inpractical for someone who is 6'4".

What sort of rims do the baby moons go on, I was told you can use HKTG Holden 14 inchers.

BTW, the grille looks good, only it seems it was squeezed in with no room top and bottom.
