john dumb question, i also own a 215 fj, body number s-1306 now is that body number 306 under the fe/fc drop the first number principle, or is it body number 1306?? if its 306, my plans for a chop top custom have just come to a holt.
Another great find, in near new condition, will post pics when i get her home and out of my grandads shed, which i stored her a while ago. The story on this one is she was de-regoed in 1960 for some silly reason, and stored every since.

to clear the rego concern up, shes not registered, and has not been for many years. To keep the plates, when shes ready for rego, just saw it wasnt bearing any on the sale date, and get new ones (any combo). If they saw these old sckool ones, they will make you change them anyway.

I know this is an ongoing topic, but the fe special i have just aquired has the following numbers:
Id.FE225-s1648 Int 214-467A0 paint 256/7449 253/7447
Please if possible let me know what colours she is, and has anyone got any pics to show me the combination.
She has been painted baby blue in the 1970's. But due to minor rust work will need to be repainted anyway.
Im thinking of donig a full rebuild, but have not 100% decided on what way i want to go in terms of stock/modified/rat rod or tidy.

mcl1959... i based this on a set of eh ones, i did also say they i "dare" say they wont fit as good. I knew the eh ones were second to none, but if rare spares puts some good research into the fe-ek ones, they might prove me wrong. I really only can base it on the ones i have seen.
Id be very interested to see they quailty, and hopefully they are better than the eh ones i used a few months ago.
Actually id be very happy if they are a good fit, as it will also save me a few pennys chasing the originals.
Hopefully that goat is ok, cause it was not shot at u personally, id rather see them on a car. And if the poor bloke wants to buy some, buy all means buy some, just id want to see them fitted first.

good point with the mod vs orig...ive never though of it that way rb.
My vote will be finish it, use it for work, and then sell it on the sly to someone who falls in love with the finished project. Like ratboxes van, once complete, every tom, dick, and harry has the money to spend.

nice ride malcom, i saw your flash a while ago, and thats what made me think of it more and more. I was going to cut a hr seal panel to do the chorme insert also, but i dont mind what i have done either. This way on my wedding day the ek will not be able to upstage the fb (remembering also i want to sell the ek after the big day also). pics are as follows, and thanks everyone for input and ideas.

alex, the strips im using to replicate a flash kit are the top front door and rear gaurd stirps that came off an fb from factory, the rear door on the ek will need to be slotted so that the arch section fits in tight and looks the part.
I was thinking either spray her white inside of infill with hr premier rear window bottom moulds, i think paint may be the easiest and quickest method for me.

Panel beater at merrylands,.....m and h smash. 96827717, speak to matthew, and tell him wayne with the lumley rectification job (fb holden) sent u down.
I have seen some if their work on early fjs that are in another club im in, and also they advertise in some of the clubs newletters, they are not shy to touch old cars, and i hear the quotes are honest, but you make your own judgements.
