Ok guys, got another holden, one to go.

Thanks everyone who let me know where possible cars were. I picked up a cheap Ek sedan, and now await another car to be located.

104  For Sale and Wanted / Cars Wanted / Re: FB/EK FE/FCs wanted for my wedding cars on: April 25, 2007, 08:37:18 AM
well do me a favour, if i join the club when my ute is finished, make sure you point out your wife and ill try to make sure my mrs keeps well away. I know that i might have it easy at the moment, but i want to keep it like this as long as possible.

Just cut up the lounge room rug, (thats if it suits the car).
105  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Modifying the grey motor on: April 24, 2007, 12:53:34 AM
nah he did not show me that, but he seemed very keen on his repco head, and almost drop jawed when he saw my alloy side plate cover collection.

i have seen something like that in an old mag somewhere, they look like a good thing, but i dont think my drum brake f/end will stop the bloomin thing and the crash box may not be able to take the take offs.

besides my grey motor that is worked is in an fb, my ute has a grey motor re done to a 149 (done well before i met mr king).

108  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: FC lowering on: April 23, 2007, 11:22:28 AM
mate you can risk the inch and a half as far as im concerned, you could also go 14' but narrow rims. BUt i advise you invest in air shocks that can be pumped up when carrying passengers, it will save embarrasing scraping sounds and excess tyre cuts from gaurd edges.
109  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: which rims will fit ? on: April 23, 2007, 11:16:29 AM
i have an fe ute with hk style tasmans/c and d rims that are 14' i use these rims also on my fb when i feel like a change, now will this destory the drums on the car like the eh rims?
what sould i be looking for before fitting rims (ie clearance etc)?

thank retro.
110  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Modifying the grey motor on: April 23, 2007, 11:10:41 AM
i just played with one a few months ago, with a bit of head work, 30/70 cam and a set of double stromies, i know that this is a simple mod, but in the process i met a chap at guildford who owns Dominator Engine reconditioning. Terry King is his name, he seems to know the grey motor limits and what to do and how to do stuff to the max if required. HE was a useful source of information, and seemed to be a keen grey motor man. So if any of the sydney boys are like me and want sound technical advice old terry may be another source and a great place to get stuff done. No i dont work for the chap, but am still happy with his ideas and consistant advice.

112  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: FJ special Rolling shell , No Rust on: April 23, 2007, 03:54:46 AM
Slim, its wayne, the young chap who goes to the swap meets with his old man all the time. (umm red fe ute, white/red fb, blue fj).

Buddy i have a favour to ask, im after a few old girls to use as my wedding cars, you know me FBs prefered, and little work to do, as long as they scrub up well in photos.

My mrs has agreed that limos are to over rated for wedding cars and we will have holdens with chrome.

I would like an ok fb or ek, but would consider a fe/fc, or another black fx/fj. I know its a bit of an ask, but if you think something you have might just be suitable, please call me on 0402946097. White/red interiors/exteriors would be spot on, but i dont mind doin a quick paint job.

Cheers retro.

Mate it was a verbal agreement, they were here before her, so if i had to make a parting of some sort, well last in last out will be my response.

Thanks, ill keep a look out for the cars on ebay. Im located within the Fairfield area in NSW.

As to borrowing cars, well, that may have to be last resort, but it is a good excuse to add to my collection, and i enjoy playing with em.

Cheers Wayneo AKA retro.

HI Guys and Girls,

My girlfriend and i have set a date, and well instead of telling me to sell both my sweet fb sedan and fe ute, we have come to an agreement that i can buy more cars to join not only the family but to become a part of our special day. Mind you i sold my humpy fj to buy the bloody ring.

What im looking for is either Fb (preffered), ek, or fe or fc to match my white/red fb. Condition, well i have a year to play withem, going and registered or easy rego cars preferred, but ex projects, complete cars and cars that may need a tidy up will be acceptable. Colours are no problem. NSW Located cars are highly encouraged to apply. Unless photos can be supplied.

I am willing to look at cars, but if i like what i see, i will pay cash and have the car removed asap.

Im not looking at mucking around, im 100%. And as my future wife says if its in the budget, i can have it.
