Hi Colin, Sounds like you have yourself a rare colour scheme there, look forward to seeing photos.
My FC ambulance had winter treads on the rears, apparently the weapon of choice to tackle the Queensland back roads in the old days  Wink
I recently purchased a caravan that had 2 tyres marked HARDIE UNIVERSAL 6.40 X 13, these are near new & have a winter type tread, so I will fit them up to the rear of the ambo eventually. Good luck with the resto.
Regards, Gary

Alex I like it, especially those spinner hubcaps! Smiley I think they look better with the white rings rather than the red. If anyone out there has any of these hubcaps that they want to convert into cash, I am still looking for 1 or 2 in extra good nick. Sad

Nice 1 Les, interesting how the taxi signs are on the sun visors, maybe trax models got it wrong with thier taxis, also both are specials, not standards.

Hi Trev, I have run out in just about all of my other vehicles over the years but never in this old girl. Hope you didn't run out in the ute or the wagon. Cheers, Gary

Just like to pass on a big thankyou to Ziggy, RET & Ben for helping out the "GOOSE that ran out of JUICE"
( :-Xname not supplied Lips sealed) on the M4 last night.

Luckily he left the club meeting early & other members who were still there were in a position to mount a search & rescue.

How many of the forum carry an emergency 5 lites of fuel in their boot  Huh  Huh Well, Ziggy for one.

1637  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: difference between red, blue and black on: September 09, 2003, 09:58:29 PM
I know a bloke who painted a red motor grey, (grey motor grey)  Shocked whacked in his FC, took it to the motor registry to have it registered.
The inspector was so taken with the resto, Kiss that on leaning over to get the engine no. did not realize that he was looking at a wolf in sheeps clothing & it was duly registered with that engine no with little or no mods. Wink
