Hi Eddie, At Motorex last year there was a stand selling chassis paint, from memory it was a brush on poyeurethane product that dried brush stroke free. It was available in a limited range of colours including a satin black which is the colour I was going to get for the front & rear end. According to the blurb & demos it was the ants pants in DIY, as it was a guaranteed long lasting finish. I will see if I can find the name. Regards, Gary

panelman, Fast Eddie is correct, these panelvan conversions were done by a firm called Canopy industries, among others.
I sometimes think more of these glassed in p'vans remain than blind p'vans.
It was a cheap way to turn your p'van into a wagon look-a-like, with some being fitted with a special fold down rear seat that leaves the load area flat & a few even having a rear door fitted as well.
I have a glassed in FE p'van that has even had Station Sedan rear quarter badges fitted & an FC p'van (glassed) with a full rear standard station sedan seat fitted, with access via a fold forward front bench seat! Regards, Gary

G'day cer444, From memory, after connecting the wire to the back of the unit, poke it through the rubber grommet in the firewall & wrap it around the harness that goes down towards the starter motor, it connects to the positive side of the starter motor solenoid. I am sure someone on the site will post or send you the actual instructions.

Hey Emu, I know the feeling, you just want to get going. What has been done to your harmonic balancer, it looks different to mine? Did you end up getting the fabric for the load area of the wagon? Gary

Emu, You can go to rta site & go to number plate ordering, (it's down at the time of this post) & type in the no. BVP-773 if it is available the system will let you order it for your car, but I don't know if you would have any luck re a search. Gary

Harko, here is some more firewood, this is a 1957 Carapark Cardman, how would you like to tow this up Bulli pass with an old grey? I haven't had an opportunity yet to do so but we towed it home from Hurstville behind the Hiace no worries Cheers

Yeah Norm, I used to have a sizeable coin collection, it was considered a crime to clean coins for fear of damaging or removing the patina. As this could devalue the coin. The only cleaning recommended was a mild soapy wash between thumb & fingers Leaving them to soak overnight in coca-coala or any kind of polish or chemical was a big no no. Gary
