41  General / FE-FC Holden Nationals / Re: what time for sat`s show and shine ? on: April 11, 2006, 11:58:47 PM
Hi Coolaraide!
As per the program which has been sent out to all entrants:

Entrants assemble at 8.30am at the CYC MCG oval and at 9am we cruise 6km to Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. 9.15am cars will enter the Grand Prix Circuit where their entrant details etc will be confirmed.

Entrants will drive 1½ parade laps at 40kph and there are specific safety requirements, such as no overtaking, that must be adhered to. We will advise you of these on the day.  Then the cars will be mustered into their 4 categories ready for escorting to their designated display area on Pit Lane for the Show and Shine.  Once in position, cars are not to be moved until completion of the show at 3pm.

At 10.30am judging commences (remember to open your vehicle). Food, snacks and alcohol will be available for purchase in the kiosk at the Race Track or you can bring along a picnic. Food etc. can only be consumed in the kiosk area (NOT on Pit Lane).

Entrants will begin the return cruise to The Conti and CYC at 3pm.

If you are visiting we suggest you come along to the Race Track at about 10.30am.

We have asked the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and they have agreed to have an area set aside for classic cars in the Visitors Centre. It will be a grassed area fenced off and signed: 'Reserved- FE-FC Classic Car Parking' which will be for all type of classic cars.

Cost to view the Cars at the Show'n'Shine in pit lane will be $10 per person, to also view cars in the museum etc will be $13.50 per person (an extra $3.50). These fees are levied by the race track and have nothing to do with the FE/FC Holden Car Club Of Vic (originally they were going to charge full price just to view the cars, but came down a bit at our request).

Also there will be a shuttle bus every half hour from the Visitors Centre to Pit Lane.

See you there,
Cat

Hi Torch,
Don't forget to dress up on Saturday night in your Gold, Silver, or Bronze for our Olympic Theme dinner - top hat and tails is optional, but I must say you do look quite fetching dressed up like that....very HOT indeed!  Kiss

GP,
How do I know Scott hasn't bribed you to say that??  Surely someone trustworthy can assist you with posting the evidence? Such an opportunity...let's not waste it!!

Do you think it might be worth posting a picture of Scott doing his big 'JT' on here?  Has anyone got one?  And exactly how much money could we get out of Scott NOT to post it??  Grin
50  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: Nasco Mudflap (one only) on: March 15, 2006, 12:43:57 AM
Lopsided, half dressed or both?!

Haggis wasn't wearing his traditional kilt so he wasn't half dressed, but he had certainly had enough wine to be lopsided!

Mike, I'll let you know how I go.

51  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Nasco Mudflap (one only) on: March 13, 2006, 07:06:37 AM
Hi all,

While hurtling around Tassie with the SSEHCC two weeks ago I lost one of my rear mudflaps.  I did manage to find it, but the top has broken off.  That leaves things a tad lopsided and we can't go the the Nationals half dressed!

Has anyone had the same thing happen to them, and if so do they have on rear Nasco mudflap for sale?

I don't need the bracket, just the flap!

52  General / FE-FC Holden Nationals / Re: Nats accom. share? or tent. on: February 04, 2006, 06:35:18 AM
Hey Ed,

Maybe Ben could fit in two tents...one for his top half and one for his feet!!   Grin

And however the 'old bus' arrives it will be a welcome sight after missing out last year!

And the nats.......It's going to be awesome!

See you soon,

Cat

Hi guys,
The rooms take up to 6 people, but there's no way Ben will fit in one of those bunk beds!  At Queensland he ended up sleeping on the couch coz his feet stuck waaaay out the end of the bed!
Come to think of it, do they make extra long tents??
Cat

PS Ed, I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing this car of yours!
54  General / FE-FC Holden Nationals / Re: Nats accom. share? or tent. on: January 31, 2006, 03:36:28 AM
Hey Ed,

Ben Wall some coaxing to come along to the nats and also needs a buddy to stay with.  He was thinking about camping in a tent at the CYC.  He was going to bring the HR down. Maybe give him a call.  If you want his number let me know.

55  General / FE-FC Holden Nationals / Re: 11th FE-FC HOLDEN NATIONALS WINE ORDERS! on: August 11, 2005, 08:32:30 AM
Oh, and sorry Graham but we'd prefer to sell the whole package together.  Otherwise it would be just like having a holden with no engine!!   Looks great, but no substance!  Grin
56  General / FE-FC Holden Nationals / Re: 11th FE-FC HOLDEN NATIONALS WINE ORDERS! on: August 11, 2005, 08:29:09 AM
BTW, yes we can send wine to NZ, as long as you're OK to pay the postage!!!
57  General / FE-FC Holden Nationals / Re: 11th FE-FC HOLDEN NATIONALS WINE ORDERS! on: August 11, 2005, 08:27:55 AM
Hiya everyone,

The wine is great!  Well we think it's great, but we can't really remember - we had a club tasting night you see!  Roll Eyes

Anyway, just a note on postage - postage is based on a per kilo rate for parcels between 500g and 20kg plus a distance cost.  The wine is between 14 and 17 kilos (depending on which bottles you buy) so postage can be up to $16 or $18 or potentially more depending on where you live.  For example, postage of two boxes to Canberra cost $15.90 for a straight red and $17 for a mixed dozen...go figure!

So we will be doing COD deliveries instead!

You have all received flyers with the incorrect postage details on them (a thousand humble apologies  Embarrassed ).  Please send through your order (with no payment) and we will send the delivery through COD including postage.

Cheers (literally - hiccup, burp)
