It's ok. I found the phone number...took some hunting and the lady that answered told me I had the wrong number the first time! I'm waiting for a reply from them.
Jamie, I'm still keen for a pic of the one you have.

Thanks Ret and Jamie, Jamie, I'd be keen for a picture of what you have if you can email one to me?? Ret, I did a search for the number of the warehouse but none of the old threads have it and the ones that probably do run me back to the old board. And somehow the white pages hasn't got it listed. Any chance of a phone number?? Cat

1956 Olympics 50th Anniversary Celebrations
DAY 1! The Olympic Village Celebrates 50 Years Saturday 18th November 2006
Celebrations include live entertainment, bands, circus shows and musical performers. Families can enjoy Olympic inspired activities including sports and bungee tramps, a giant slide and an obstacle course.
1956 Athletes will be visiting, guided heritage tours of the Village will be held, and there will also be an FE-FC Holden Car display (yep, that’s us!).
Photos and memorabilia will be on display, plus car boot sales, and heaps of food and things to do.
Meet at Bunnings on Murray Road, Preston (Melway 19 C12 - opposite Northland) at 9.00am for a 9.15am leave to the Olympic Village on Southern Road.
Cars are needed from 9.30am until 5pm, but there is plenty to do on the day, or Northland is nearby with shops and cinemas.
DAY 2! ’56 Returns to the G Sunday 19th November 2006
Re-live the excitement of the 1956 Olympic Games.
FE’s and FC’s are needed for a vehicle display outside the MCG and a recreation of the 1956 Olympics Ceremony inside the MCG. 320 Olympians from 1956, including Dawn Fraser, Betty Cuthbert and Murray Rose have confirmed their attendance and many current champions will be present. In all over 40 Gold Medallists including Australia’s 13 remaining heroes will be there!
Events Australia is producing the event for the Victorian Olympic Council and they would love to include FE and FC Holden’s in this special day to commemorate the significant role they played in the 16th Olympiad.
Events Australia will use our cars during an opening ceremony acknowledgement of the Relay participants as the cars where such an integral part of the torch relay. The cars would enter the arena.
Whilst the cars and relay participants are on the arena, footage on a large screen will be interspersed with live camera to screen of the recreated parade and black and white images from 1956.
Cars will also be on display at the main entrance to the MCG and inthe MCG grounds to recreate the ambience of the day.
The day would involve a rehearsal run through on the MCG. Events Australia will provide lunch for the drivers before the event. All FE and FC drivers will receive a signed certificate from the Victorian Olympic Council recognising their participation in this event.
Rehearsals will commence before lunch with the final event being from 2pm until 4pm. Cars permitted on the MCG can only contain a driver, no passengers, however passengers are able to watch the ceremony from the stand.
Final times and meeting locations will be advised to all participants who have registered their interest with Cat.
Call Cat on 0417 366 639 by MONDAY 13th NOVEMBER to confirm your attendance at each event.

Thanks Tonza and Ken, It was lots of fun. The rest of the people with the cars were hired talent and I was the only car owner allowed on the show so it was pretty cool! And just to clarify, CAT was polishing TC...for bleeeding hours over the last two weeks. Pete checked the speedo cable last night for me! No polishing rag in sight!!! He's not so silly!

Hi Glenn,
You did a fantastic job with those pictures. Somehow, other than entrant's cars, I didn't manage to get many photos! Come to think of it, I didn't get much of a drink either! Or a chat with my mates! Bring on 2008 I say!
Anyway, in response to your earlier question, yes the Victorian Club would love copies of any photos you and others have taken......now don't be expecting miracles like the Jindabyne DVD (yes Tim, no-one could beat that magnificent effort of yours), however something will be put together if anyone is interested.
Please send any pics to:
FE-FC Holden Car Club of Victoria Inc. P.O. Box 8050 Camberwell North Victoria 3124
Feel free to IM or email me if you have any questions, queries etc, and once we have organised something I will let you know......At the moment I am all organised out so it may take a little while!
Please also let me know if you need the pictures returned.
Thanks to everyone for being so patient over the weekend seeing as we had so many of you. Congratulations to you all on a fantastic turn out, wonderful cars and a wonderful weekend.
See you in Mount Gambier!
Cat

Yeah OK you lot...sorry to be a pooty parper...Coopers is great and yes a ute with a keg in the back would look grouse, but you can't bring it to the CYC! We have been told that outlets on the Island will get a walk through Liquor Licencing Victoria over the long weekend. The Vic Club will get fined, hung drawn and quartered, and all sorts of other nasty things by the 'authorities' if we break out license conditions, and it was hard enough to get the Liquor License we got. Please respect the hard work the Committee has put in to make the best variety of grog available under very difficult circumstances (it's not everyday that you have to plan for 350 people coming to a Nats when you weren't expecting quite so many!). So sit back and enjoy the ambience and camaraderie of the Nasco Social Club, and please don't bring grog in to the CYC... Otherwise, we'll get Neville to sit on you. Cat
