Have you thought about going to your local bolt shop to match them?

Get the PCM (passenger kick panel) BCM under drivers dash) and the key all matching then there's no security (vats) issue.
Otherwise I can get non matching stuff..... as in the Pcm and bcm don't need to match. The key must match the bcm.
Phone call might be easier. Happy to explain.

Well I'd hope he knows. Otherwise it'll be a loose wire on the port which is unlikely?

You could buy a cheap ALDL scanner and see if it works when on accessories...

Please post photo and model of the scan tool your using. I reckon it's and OBD2 which won't work

Is it a conversion harness? What wiring did you end up with?

Most snap on readers are OBD2. VR V6 is ALDL (or crudely sometimes called OBD1). Your reader won't pick it up.
BUT if you have a warning light you can bridge pins 5&6 to get the warning light to flash in a series of blinks to give error code numbers

Lol, NES it is about to be in Ballarat thanks to a very kind offer.
About time you finished yours isn't it?
Well that's a long way for me to pick it then isn't it.

Yes I should have finished mine a long time ago. Massive exams this week then should be good to get back into it

Leave it at my place!
I'll come out with a trailer next weekend.

It's about time I cleaned out my garage

I'll keep it charged, clean, dry and meet you in Canberra

What suburb is it currently in?

What are you wanting in your project? Are you on a budget?

I hope you told the mechanic this. I bought a VR V8 statesman off an old man for $1000 and he said it's buggered. Ran like crap. Mechanic changed plugs leads O2 sensor etc etc.

I bought it whacked a fuel pump in and went like a shower of shit. Took it to the same mechanic (unbeknownst to me) within 2 weeks of purchase for a roady and I laughed at him after he told me how long he spent and $ trying to figure it out. I have zero mechanic experience.

I think it's VPW that can supply axles with heaps of spline and you cut where you need it. I used an 83 bronco axle in mine....

Yes you need to shorten the housing.
If it's in an EH wouldn't it have already been shortened?
If it's original length then you will need to shorten it BUT by how much is dependant on your wheel choice and it's offset.
If it's an LSD I'd get it but two diffs cut down may cost about the same to weld up etc etc.

X2. Offset pumpkin makes your Tailshaft off centre.

V8 rotors slip straight on.
