Yeah it has the holes around the base of the windows aswell and definitly says 225 on the id plate. If you tell me how to put a pick on the site I can post it. Trim and paint codes say its frankston cream without insert colour. interior is red and cream which is still all there. I even grabbed a little fridge magnet to check for large bog and it stuck every where. with all door trims removed I couldn't see anything bad at the bottom of the doors either. Hr font that came with it is pretty stuffed though. Did the FE come out with the detroit chrome standard? I dont mind the fe trims but theres something sexy bout that FC Special trim that gets the misses going.......so....

WOW what a quick reply. The car has holes for FE Special for two rows of chrome (where it dips on the rear door) but i'm told its near on impossible to get a hold of em. So i'll have to seal the holes and make new ones. As for the preference, I just think the FC looks like its more finished and styled.

Any one know how hard it is to move engine mounts on an HR crossmember to fit a nissan VL Commodore 6? Any thing else I need to worry about (sump or keeping the 3 speed column)?

I JUST BOUGHT AN FE SPECIAL IN PRIMER THAT IS DEAD STRAIGHT AND NO RUST. I AM WONDERING WHAT THE GENERAL CONSESUS IS IF THE VEHICLE IS RESTORED AS AN FC SPECIAL (IT ONLY CAME WITH CHROME FOR AN FC) I'M NOT KEEN ON THE FE's (SORRY TO THOSE WHO RATE EM) BUT WANTED TO KNOW HOW IT WOULD TAKE IN THIS KIND OF COMMUNITY.

seems like wives are a common problem here.
whats the general consensus about FE's dressed up as FC's (i've just fought one where I found an "E" on the ID plate and a No. plate surround on the bumper and eng no. are the only give away)

just saw the chrome stips on the side of your FE and I have just acquired an FE in primer with the holes down the side for the same strips. Is this highly sought after in original? it came without the chrome strips...Is it hard to acquire?

Chipping Norton is actually where a company I work for is based and with my contacts can arrange free shipment to North Brisbane where I am. When I say Chrome, does that incluse everything on the white table in the picture or 40$ for everything side specific? How do I get in contact with you for personal details? (I am about two hours old to this site)
