1  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Speedo Gears on: February 08, 2022, 08:37:43 PM
For some reason I didn't have much success with the speedo calculators, but  I think there's a 5% difference between each cog so if you know which one you have you can easily calculate what you need, or at least which is closest?
2  Technical Board / General Technical / Re: Speedo Gears on: February 08, 2022, 06:44:24 PM
Best to look at what colour/teeth you have now and start  your calculations from there.

11  Technical Board / Restoration Help / Re: FE boot lock clip on: February 04, 2017, 06:36:15 PM
As suggested elsewhere in here, tape a flat stick to the end of the spring clip to get it in position, then tap the stick to drive it home.

With a rear mounted rack, what steering arms are you guys using, and do you space then off the stub-axles a bit?

19  Galleries / Project Cars - FEs and FCs Under Construction / Re: Heart Transplant - adding 172ci on: May 15, 2016, 06:43:43 PM
With my v6 the floor front and back got very hot, this is where I had the muffler.
Put in a piece of flat gal sheet as a heat shield between floor and exhaust and that solved the problem.
Suspended on brackets with an air gap between  both floor and exhaust.
20  For Sale and Wanted / Parts For Sale / Re: surfboard roof racks on: May 12, 2016, 08:18:24 PM
Spot on.
Just had fresh paint, which was a bit darker than the colour on it, which had been resprayed anyway.
I prefer the current shade, a PPG mix. Smiley
