PM me for any further details/pics , probably hit Gumtree in next fortnight.

Hey Freddy,

I'm going to engage Wizard Chrome at Narangba, I have no affiliation but have seen there work and it's pretty impressive. Pricing isn't to bad either but would still think you'd need to budget $5K to do a complete car.

I've come to the conclusion that the thing hindering the most with my progress, is the constant disorganisation of the environment in which I'm trying to work in!

Too this end, my immediate goal is to clean up and finish of some small updates to the shed, so I can continue with the project in a more sensible and structured space. First thing is to organise the tools strewn all over the place. I managed to start the pegboard and am hoping to de-clutter over the long weekend.

and it hasn't even really touched the shite I have to sort through yet  Huh

If I can get the Engineer to agree to my interpretation of the rules around engine swaps, then a LS1.

If not, then maybe something smaller, but boosted.   Cool

Either way, win win  Grin

Well my hand has been forced............. my new FF [Forum Friend] Snoopy, has made a hole in the front of the van and lightened me of a rather heavy weight, which will now necessitate me filling it with something aluminium  Grin

At least I know the gantry can handle the weight of an iron block and gearbox

Hey Corey,

You could also try JD's Automotive 3342 5346, he's mobile and I think the workshop is at Rochedale [Sth Brisbane].

I'm going to try him first as he lives only 5 doors down, so inspections might be easier to organise. I mentioned about putting a LS1 in my FC, and he said that he's been across 308s in FJs but to date, not a LS1.

I think as long as you're well researched and prepared when engaging an engineer, they may look favourable on what you want to achieve, as long as it's not totally ridiculous.

Cheers

19  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: FC exterior door handle scratch plates on: November 29, 2018, 05:05:36 PM
if it is Brendale Qld, I purchased some interior door & window handles off someone in Brendale a while back, both seem good quality, yet to fit to car though. I can get a pic up, but in Adelaide until Tuesday, so won't be till then.

Cheers

Still chasing either a cowl or cut to patch the rust. I'm located in Brisbane.

Thanks Glenn, but I think a bit too far Sad
