The shell has been restored by Victor Reilly of Bucket Panels (hence the Moorabbin location).

Some on this forum may recall Victor's FC.....

Parts Wanted / Upper Rear Window section from donor
October 17, 2011, 07:33:44 PM
Hi All,

I'm after the 'entire' top part of a sedan rear window - pillar to pillar and the brace section just inside the window mount area.

I got a nice surprise when I removed the rear window and found that area was rusted out due to a leaky seal. Whilst it *could* be rebuilt with a lot of effort, a cut and shut seems somewhat opportunistic here.

Does anyone have this area from a donor shell that might be usable?

Looking to get it to Moorabbin (Melbourne) or I can pick up if needed.

Regards,

Dale

Aaaahh the memories....Mine had very similar "Speed Holes" in it after blasting.

Yes, it's a little like... 'but wait, there's more'.

Parts Wanted / Wheel Well (for Martha)
June 16, 2010, 08:48:24 PM
Hi All,

I'm looking for a good spare wheel well to keep my project going (see here: http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,17746.msg107207.html#msg107207).

It's been a while in the making and preparation and I have most sections I need but have not been able to source a good replacement.

I'm in Geelong and the car is in Melbourne.

Happy to pay for freight if there is a section available from interstate.

If anyone can help, please let me know.

Hi all,

It's been a while in the making and preparation...

As an aside, I will also post in 'Parts Wanted' as I am after a spare wheel well.

Some progress shots (note the dates!)

The find (by someone else) and transfer to me:

QuoteI recall seeing this car in flat black and was the reason I asked if Vic's car was ever flat black. I am not sure this is Vic's car, but would be interested to know 1 way or the other. I will try to find the pic I took of the car in black.
Regards
Alex

Here's the story....

Victor sold the car back in 1983 (approx) when it was 'Candy Apple Red' to Mark Dickinson minus the motor and transmission. He then painted it flat black as is indicated here. Marh then apparently put a 350 Chev in it and according to Victor, it ran a 12.5 quarter.

It's been seen since and is painted back in the 'purple' colour that was on it when Victor originally purchased it for $5.

Parts For Sale / Re: fe wagon wrecking (maybe)
December 22, 2006, 09:12:38 PM
Mark,

I'm interested in the bumper bar ends, the over-riders if any are straight (hard to tell - one looks to be dented) and the the batttery tray if it's OK.

I'm also looking for clean external door handles - mine are extremely pitted.

Spencer Street Melbourne pickup OK?

Cheers,

Dale

Reproduction Parts / Re: Plastic FC seat surrounds
September 21, 2006, 11:18:15 PM
Quotehi SpeciFEcation,

you could make a 2 part mould however this would leave a casting line down the piece... not very nice when you are trying to repro the original finish.

Agreed. And this is where they fall down in quality - the join in the two part mould is clearly visible.

A single piece plastic one is what is needed....

At $220/set (all round), that's fine by me.

QuoteWe are trying to gauge the interest out there for plastic FC seat surrounds  upper and lower made as per original at around $220.00 per set
Les

Les, Harrisons regularly sells the lower surrounds for around $119 on E-Bay in fibreglass.

Not sure if that helps...

From first-hand experience, they are a very poor reproduction.

QuoteHow much interest would there be in these bonnet inserts at around $120.00 ea

Les, assuming a fair reproduction, I'd take one.

Quotewas there no FE wagons on show ??? looks good all the same, great pics... ;D ;D

There were.... don't know why I didn't snap a few in detail....

FE-VAN was there.
You can see one of them sitting next to the convertible.
The other that I recall was a workhorse for some business from NSW??

Managed to spend the day down at the island yesterday and have this for your viewing pleasure....

http://feholden.spamaddress.com/FE_FC_Nationals/index.html

Not wanting to steal the show from any such 'official' photos, this is just a quick copy of the images from my camera.

Be warned... they are all FE related (I don't own an FC!!)

Congratulations to all involved - it was great.

I am sure that there will be many more photo's posted when everyone gets home....
