Hi Benny and Manni and anyone else that may still be interested:
the car is still available - same condition, still garaged... I wish I had the mechanincal skills to restore it, but sadly I'm without experience in that area.
I was hoping someone interested in restoring her would come and look at her.

I can contact you direct if you'd leave an email address on this site so you can come and see if this is the FC for you.
Sorry for the delayed reply - I got a bit of grief on the website last year and was disappointed so I stayed away for a while.
Cheers to all
regards  JR :)

hello,

although it's an old thread....
i was not trying to 'flog my car on someone else's forum' Apologies if that was the impression. I merely thought a fellow fc fan was unaware that his Personal Email was not recieving. This of course could have affected many other things in his life.
I won't bother being helpful anymore that's for sure.
here endeth the effort!

Thanks to all those that have actually been pleasant.

hi there,

Kevin is that you?
I think we've spoken via direct emai.. if it is you , you'll have all the info - just call me if you want to visit to look at the car, or if more pictures would suffice. I am on the verge of getting it re registered here in Vic so I can at least drive her around while I'm waiting to sell. Problem is, I may decide to keep her then!
Anyway, thanks for the interest in the car
Regards
Julie

I can't believe it either! It is a great car, and drives really well. I wish I had more of the skills i need to finish the project, and the space to do it in.

I guess if it doesn't sell soon, that something's telling me she should stay with me...

Oh well - must be fate!

Thanks for the comment nicko

no need for a message like that. I was trying to be helpful, but don't need that kind of reply. Unusual, as everyone has been lovely on this site so far.

If I had committed some bizarre 'etiquette' lapse, I'm sure the administrator would let me know.

No offence was intended.

also Jay, your email mailbox is telling me it won't take any more mail -. If you clear it a bit, I can send some details re FC special sedan.

Julie

thanks slim,
youre an fc - flavoured livesaver!

Hi all,

At the risk of sounding thick, could someone direct me as to where the definitive engine number for a 59 FC can be found? I'm seeing a stamped number on the block which doesn't seem to correspond to anything (the FC club's id guide, or indeed the RTA!).
I'm obviously missing something very obvious . i can find all the other numbers (the id plate on the firewall, and the chassis no. which is stamped on the engine bay over the driver's side guard).
Help! I'm feeling a bit stupid!
Thanks again everyone

hi all,

My car still available, but can we all be clear that it's not a 'ready to drive' number? it's only 3K, and is for an enthusiast to take and finish the restoration. Having said that, it sounds great and it goes really well !
As I said before, it would be great to see the car go to a genuine FC fan, who will bring it up to its potential. It does provide a good starting point, as nothing really major is wrong with it.
Thanks for the interest so far, I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
