Correct Harv I have x2 b blocks. One with each type. And one J block that has the top type fitted. From speaking to a few people and looking at a few different setups I'm pretty certain the top ones are the later model.

General Technical / Main Bearing Cap Differences
June 21, 2017, 11:42:54 AM
Hi All,

I'm struggling to find a definitive answer on the net and all the workshop manuals for each Series use the same generic picture but can some one identify which main bearing caps are the early type and which are the later type?

Any info appreciated

Parts Wanted / EJ Grey Motor

EJ Grey Motor wanted. Running or suitable for rebuild in Brisbane area. Cheers

True, will have to give him a buzz.
#6
No it's one of George's from alien retro columns. Yep takes factory wheel
#7
Yeah,

I have the report for the column so that's no dramas just the crs front end and rack they want the reports for too which is annoying as they are in engineered and licensed cars all over the country. Just a piece of paper holding me up.....
#8
Thanks Glen,

Got that off the fx site.

Short story is spoke to an engineer about my build plans and he said yep all sounds good submit your F1854 form to qld transport for approval before you start so you get approval to go ahead with the modifications before you get too far into it.

Qld transport vehicle standards and modification department then responded to my submission saying it is incomplete and before approval can be given they want to see the engineers report for front subframe, steering rack and collapsible column....

Hi all,

Doin the rounds on a few forums here but wondering if anyone is running a CRS V8 HR front end with front mount torana rack and has a copy of the engineer reports that came with them when they made their purchase?

Any leads appreciated and yes I have already rang the rod shop but they didn't really help.

Cheers

Got some information about this seller from someone on the FJ FX forum who knows of them and decided it would be best to stop stuffing around and open a claim. Pretty sure from the info I received it's not the first time this person has done this either. Bit dissapointing as I have been on the hunt for a while but hopefuly I can at least get some cash back. See what happens..... Anyone else dealing with this person beware.

Anyone selling a speco triple carb manifold for a grey?

bought these

Paid the day I bought them, Paypal payment cleared on the 27th of April and still haven't heard boo from the seller. Patience is starting to wear thin. Anyone on here dealt with this person before?
