General Technical / do i need seat belts?

Hello all, i am a owner of an fc holden that i have built i have got it to the stage where i am going to get a road worthy but i have been told different stories by people that i have to put seat belts in. i have searched the net for this topic and i can not find any info. can someone help with a web site or anything that will help. ;D
