Post by: fc_ute on March 13, 2002, 01:13:07 PM
i have been offered an fb/ek front seat and as i like the metal side pieces and think they would fit the style of my mild custom fc ute better, but will it bolt up to the same holes?

Ace,  when you fitted the FB/EK seat to your car, did you notice whether the seating position was higher than the FC seat?
I've been told that the FB/EK seat sits a couple of inches higher and that it could be a bit cramped for a larger person to get their legs under a stock steering wheel.

Can you help with this ?

 ;)HI KEN AND FC_UTE
I DID THIS SEAT CONVERSION SOME YEARS AGO.
FROM MEMORY (I THINK THE FB-EK SEAT RUNNERS ARE TALLER,
I USED THE FC RUNNERS ON MINE.) I ALSO FITTED THE FC TRIM TO THE EK SEAT AND HAD TO MODIFY THE TRIM ON THE TOP OF THE SEAT.
