You did a great job posting that pic Doug.
Beautiful looking car.

However, there is one really bad problem.

You didn’t post enough pics of your great FE.

Ric.

More pics of my FE. I first acquired her back in 1986, she was slowly rusting away under a mango tree in Townsville, took two years to restore and was used as my daily drive for the next 16 year. Put in the shed in 2004 with a plan to give her a freshen up when time permitted, started scratching at her in 2017 resulting in a full bare metal rebuild and re-registered in 2018. Built in Adelaide and assembled in Brisbane, originally two tone green now India Ivory with HQ Dark Silver Metalic turret. Stock except for; lowered 2 inches, duel circuit brake master cylinder, EK front drums and brake shoes, EK electric wipers and seat belts. Hope this helps to solve the problem Ric. Regards Doug

Complete with retro-fitted FJ Special gear knob . . . .

Thanks for info on the gear knob Rob, it pays to learn something new every day. What gear knob was used on the FE? I'm not sure if later FEs were sold with rear quarter wind splitters either. Regards Doug

Hey Doug, nice car, Maco on here sells reproduced FE FC gearstick knobs, they are the same on both models, although I'd stay with the FJ knob as it fancier and adds a point of difference
FE did not have tailfins, although there were an accessory aftermarket set produced which you don't see too often

Very nice indeed. I believe the hubcaps are ek. Can see a faint lion logo but first thought they were FB. You’ve done a pretty good job repairing the drivers seat Doug.

I think the front seat may be fb or ek as well by the metal side trims, unless the plastic has been painted I suppose. Not to be picky, great looking car.
Cheers

As others have said very nice car mate.
Clay is correct re seat, flat across to top and metal sides, fe fc has a slight curve across the top side to side.

A lot of FE’s got FC rear fins fitted by dealerships during service visits. I have an article on it somewhere.
This one of mine had them fitted very early on
