Well, we weren't able to make this announcement at Wangaratta as we'd expected we would, but here it is.

It is too early at this stage to book accommodation, but we'll let you know just as soon as that changes.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Start your engines!

We're a year out from the event, so now's the time to book your accommodation in Broken Hill. All venues are now accepting bookings.

Note that we are not having a particular Nationals HQ location. There is no single accommodation venue big enough to hold all attendees, and there are accommodation options in the town to suit every possible preference and budget. If you received a Nats goodie bag through your club, you'll find a document in there with listing of accommodation options. Otherwise, just google "Broken Hill accommodation", there are caravan parks, AirBnBs, hotels, motels, even farm-stays.

With the recent announcement regarding filming of Mad Max Furiosa in Broken Hill next year, we strongly recommend that you don't delay booking your accommodation.

Note: we have heard that one or two accommodation venues are saying that "they are not taking bookings because of Mad Max". Should you get this response, please PM me, or reply here with the name of the establishment. The Broken Hill Council and Tourist Information Office have already made enquiries about this on our behalf, and would like to know details should anyone get told this.

Word is that Broken Hill Tourist Park are not accepting bookings for next year AT ALL, so our advice to entrants and enthusiasts is to not even bother calling them. There are plenty of other options available. <middle finger emoji>

The lovely people at Broken Hill Council have provided this one-stop-shop guide to all the accommodation available in the town ($2). Please download it and get yourself a bed for what will be a fantastic outback weekend.

Look forward to seeing you all again, even though we have aged 4 years since the last gathering.
