Post by: Not Happy Jan on March 18, 2020, 03:40:49 PM
Hi Guys
Whats the best way to refurb these?
I've stripped it back to bare plastic.
What colour paint do i use?

The paint you use is translucent enamel which is easy enough. The problem is the vacuum metalising process which puts the chrome in the back. You have to get a badge maker to do it for you. Painting the chrome is no good.
I used to do these many years ago and was friendly with a badge maker who would do a batch of twenty for me.
Just buy a new repro one. The Vic club have them.

Thanks Ken,
Who do I see for one of those?  Do you have a picture?

The badges are excellent. As per the original.

I very rarely get to any of the club events anymore, so I’m not the best contact
