Title: Wanted: set of grey motor lifters
Post by: Harv on July 23, 2019, 06:31:55 AM
I'm getting closer to having my Norman-blown, meth fed grey motor project screwed together. Unfortunately, I am short a set of lifters.

I had a good working spare set, but gave them away a few months back to get a bloke out of trouble during his engine rebuild.

I had one more spare set in a seized motor, which I pulled out last weekend. Sadly, they are in too rough a shape to use.

If anyone has a spare set of lifters, please let me know. Happy to pay for the parts, and for postage.

Cheers,
Harv

Evening Harv, I have an old 138, that was in the FE when I bought it, sitting on an engine stand.
You are welcome to the lifters out of it if you cannot find a set.
We built a 132 for the car, so I don’t need them at the moment.
The engine is out in the sticks in a mates shed, so it might take a few weeks to get to them that is the only problem.
I have no idea what state they are in. The engine was running, but very tired.
Just replace them down the track at some point, if you find some others.
Peter.

Thanks Peter - much appreciated.

I've got a lead on a set of lifters from South Australia (thanks Clay!), and am going to try them out. If it doesn't work out, I'll give you a yell.

Cheers, and thanks again,
Harv
