Title: Perth Airport 1959 Photo Post by: 59wagon on September 05, 2018, 08:34:51 AM I found this in yesterday’s digital news - a 1959 shot at Perth Airport. A few nice old cars flanked by a FE/FC wagon at one end and sedan at the other.

Rob You know your planes, Rob 😀 Here’s the caption that came with it Ansett-ANA DC-6B, TAA Vickers Viscount, two BOAC Comets and a South African Airways DC-7B occupy the apron in 1959. The Comets, which operated from Sydney to London, were in Perth because of fuel contamination in Darwin, their normal stop. My guess is FE/FC standard wagon, Austin A40, Hillman minx , Austin A30, Austin A70, Vanguard 10 & some "sloper", [ maybe a dodge?]. Then the FC 225, possibly a 3 tone .

I thought humpy Holden for a while, but it's a two-door, and the rear guards aren't quite Holden: maybe a Morris Minor?
