Title: Engine oil filter canisters correct type
Post by: JohnBM on September 03, 2018, 09:32:05 PM
Picked up a oil filter canister for what I thought was for aFE/FC . But I now have found out it may be for the Fb/ ek series Holden . The one I have has the alloy top with AC cast on it . My question is in the years of the Holden there was . Fram . Ryco &. AC  which is applicable to my FE . From what I have seen on the box . The FE type was coloured orange with a black top . Also was there any difference in the canister . As in inlet . Outlet lines  . I suppose what I’m trying to say is if I installed the one I have . Would it look out of place . Cheers

Cant wait for the pedal rubber enthusiasts guide

I've written a few, but haven't gotten to the pedal rubber yet  :D.

Have got a seatbelt Guide 95% written, but can't find the time to finish it. Have sent the draft PDF to a fair few guys installing belts.
Have written up a Guide to Lucas injection (and overhauled the injector/pump etc), but will need some help to adapt the throttle bodies onto a grey (I can't weld).
Have got all the literature to do a Hydramatic Guide, and have bought two slushboxes to play with, just need the time.

The one thing I really, really want to write a Guide for is Olbis fuel injection. Sadly, can't find any literature or anyone who owns an Olbis. Suspect that Olbis fuel injection may now be extinct - info lost forever.

Cheers,
Harv (deputy apprentice reverse-Engineer).
