Post by: my8thholden on August 19, 2018, 07:34:10 AM
I suppose a lot of members followed this sale of Mitch Vickers Collection ..For those of you who didn't ,this little summary may be interesting,in the lots offered there were 18 Holdens most of them Premiers, only 6 lots sold ..There was one 1956 FE Sedan ,sold originally by Coote Mts ,bought back in 1962 by Cootes Motors ..First time offered yesterday with a reserve of $20,000.00 it passed in with highest bid at $6,500.00...A 1959 FC wagon grey/ white ,red motor, was offered with quite a few accessories , main ones Air Chief radio ,manual vacuum override brakes ,original grey motor included in some spares, bidding started at $17.500 the hammer fell sold at $20,000.00  …

Top Holden on the day 1963 EH Premier Wagon ..Sold originally to Australian High Commission in New Zealand ,apparently as good as they get ,sold $100,000.00

cheers Vern
