(Richard will post in about five minutes with a Game of Thrones reference) Remove the quarter window assembly from the door, and remove the old seal, because it will go all oozy when you do this - preheat the oven to 160 C, put the quarter window in the oven for half an hour or so. Clamp the glass in a vice between a couple of pieces of softwood, and wearing leather gloves, gently ease the frame off the glass.
