Title: Vane Tunescope 3075- SS
Post by: Gropedawg57 on August 21, 2017, 10:13:03 AM
So while I was in brain injury rehab I was attending a 'Mens Shed' every week doing things relevant to my trade and getting my body back into the swing of things, it's where I learnt a lot about old model cars and the beginning of what I'll need to know with my restoration project.
Anyways, one of the blokes there, a retired mechanic donated this thing to me, saying it can come in handy to me when I've got the car running. He explained it to me a bit, but knowing the tune-up stage was a while away from me (and having memory issues) it went through one ear and out the other.
So, does anyone know much about these? It also comes with a combustion analyzer which isn't pictured.

Cheers! Adam

Vane gear is awesome. My father gave me a Vane timing light when I got my first car. The insulation is so worn that the thing bites. The kids love watching me jump every time #1 cylinder fires  :o.

The manuals for the larger Vane machines are hard to come by, though the bloke at the end of this thread may send you a pdf:

Lucky fella! You'll have her running like a clock with the help of the boffins.
Cheers
