Title: door pulls
Post by: Roybeth on July 11, 2017, 08:02:41 AM
Are there any other Holdens that have door pulls similar to an FC?
I have some and they're are two different types. All are " a Linlok product" (Linlok I know is still a big manufacture of all sorts of door hardware), one has 20 stamped under it the others don't.

the 20 one is smaller  and has finer ribs on it.

the other two are slightly larger and have larger ribs.

TIA

I think they were used on just about anything while in production, including FC Holden doors.

I have the same Lenlok 20 handles on my sedan. I had a pair to start with & I recall coming across the other (later?) version searching for more.

Some of the current Lenlok handles also look familiar.

The finer lined Lenlok handles look good on an FC because they match the handles. The genuine NASCO handles look a bit "cupboard like" in my opinion.

Not goin for the kitchen cupboard look either Ken, I agree ! lol

here is what is in my ute - the coarser type, haven't had them off yet so don't know if there is any different marks underneath.

here are the extra ones, have two of the coarser ones, only one of the Lenlok 20 :-(. They do go better with the other door handles so will have to keep my eye out for another one, looks like the screw holes should still line up.

Could someone do me a favour please and measure the distance between the mounting screw centres for the two types of Lenlok handles (fine lines, and coarse lines)?

My EK wagon has been painted, and nearing completion. I have holes in the two front doors for pull handles, and like the look of the Lenlok handles (especially the fine line ones). The holes in my wagon are 3 15/16" apart (nearly 4"). Assuming the Lenloks fit, I'll start hunting for a pair (it would be just my luck to buy them, only to find they don't match the holes).

Cheers,
Harv

I only have the Lenlok 20 model with fine lines. Centre to centre looks too wide for your existing holes.

But, the base that sits on the door seems plenty wide enough to cover them.
Inside/outside dimensions .....

I had a similar situation - used one existing hole & drilled a new hole in each door. I left the old hole & added a curved gal plate inside the door to anchor to & spread the load.

Thanks DJ. I managed to get hold of a pair of handles from a gentlemen, and have fitted them to the EK. They look really good against the ribbed winders/door handles.

Cheers,
Harv

I think I paid $40 for a pair years ago. It was right up there at the time but they were in good nick & I wanted to match the two I had for my sedan. Aus Post charges have risen a lot too which doesn't help.
