Title: Thomas Red Six rocker cover PVC grommet
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on April 23, 2017, 03:41:06 PM
I have bought an off the shelf valve cover grommet for my Thomas cover but it is way too loose, does anyone know where to get a proper one?
The previous owner of the rocker cover solved the problem with silicone that has since split and come away.

I bought some grommets from Clarke Rubber last week.
Assuming the SA stores have similar stock, they had quite a size range. The blank (blind) grommets were heavier. Just need the internal hole punched or drilled at the desired size.

Thanks DJ, I checked in at one of the few Clarks in SA, the range was crappy and the salesman told me that they weren't oil resistant.

Still looking.

Bummer, sorry.
I didn't ask about being oil resistant for what I needed. Maybe there's more old stock here to make the range look reasonable. I don't think they sell much.
Do you have the dimensions? There are a couple of hydraulic places here I can try.
