:o He certainly was a true gentleman. It was a pleasure to meet him and to see his car in the flesh at the 06 nats. R.I.P Alan

Was he sick or was it unexpected. I hope someone in the family keep the car in his memory. RIP  Alan.

Alan's car was the original reason i got hooked on FC's. I can remember as a 14 year old buying a pile of mags just to get articles on Alan's and Ric Martins FC's and still have them all today, probably 30 to 35 years later. His car always had that "something special" in my book even though i have never seen it in real life. The pictures he posted of it a while back  were a real treat for me to see someone who could hang onto their "toy" and keep it looking that good shows his attachment. My regards go to his family and thanks for the memories Alan

I was only learning to walk in 1978! Blokes like him are an inspiration to my generation and his legend will live on in these great threads.

I remember the car quite well. Always liked it and what was done on and to the car. Never met Allan, but hear he was a real gentleman. RIP Allan.

Rusty.

I went to Trafalgar Holden Museum today and was in awe in the presence of FC 225 Alan Hale’s beautiful black FC.
