g'day scott
did it 2 weeks ago.
Its been flaking until now (my last one wasn't this bad from memory)
I washed it and moisturised (  :o )it for the photo

Found out you can't trust tattoo people
Went in with a simple line drawing. They explained that it would have been too small for the grille detail I wanted so we upped the size. Which then put the 58 out of proportion i think ? I thought it was going to stay a simple line drawing with some shading to fill tyres, windows and dark part of the grille. I kept emphasising the grille detail was the important bit so those who know cars would know it was an FC HOLDEN not a Chevy. But It finished up with shading all over the bodywork and chrome ! (that explains why it was taking so long)  Which tends to make it darker than i would of liked and i think the detail gets lost amongst the shade

But it's MY FC  and I still like it  (Cathy hates it but she hates all tattoos )

the reason they wont do small lines and small writing as such
is that in a few years it will be unreadable or smudge as the colour flatten out

ive got close to 100hr worth of art on me and they have all told me the same
and i have seen it for myself, in small detailed areas

give it a few years and that grill will look like a black smudge, they should have told you that all greywash fades at a faster rate, due to no defined edges to lock colour in
