Title: Fillguard Wanted
Post by: craiga on February 27, 2003, 10:22:55 PM
Does anyone have a "Filguard" they are interested in selling?

This was an original accessory that fits around the fuel inlet to prevent fuel spilling on to the paintwork.

Details are here
http://www.fefcholden.org.au/techinfo/nasco/trimstyle/filguard.html

Alternately does anyone know of another type that would fit?

Thanks in advance.

Craig.

Hi Craig, Go to a large plumbing suppliers (not hardware) with the outside diameter. You used to be able to get a stainless steel doover that closely resembles the original (take picture or sketch) the only catch is that the inside diameter will probably be too small & have to be cut to suit. I have an original if you want to borrow it to show to the suppliers.

Hey Craig

Try "Cauchi's Auto accessories - Repro wheel spats & other stuff... call Nick on 0412-544-651"

I got it for another site, from memory hes the guy who also makes repo scratch plates.  Could be wrong thou, to many years of killing the ol memory with beer!

Cheers a-c

Hey Guys

The one i'm thinking of is based in Shepparton Vic. Hes a member of the FB/EK club and makes a fair bit of repo stuff.

Could be the same guy who makes the mudflap brackets.

Try him "Sam  03 5822 1379"

Cheers a-c

Hi John,

No, I haven't done anything about it yet, been too busy with other stuff.

Graham might have got one by now, see if he can help.

Cheers,

Craig.
