Title: "How Quaint an Australian Car"
Post by: FC2104 on August 31, 2006, 01:26:48 AM
Hey Guys
This is for the "Older" ;) blokes. Does anyone remember or even own the FC that was featured in an old Big M commercial where the posh Porsche Drive says "How Quaint An Australian Car" and the the FC driver leaves his Big M on the roof right next to the sun roof of the Porsche an drives off. this may have been talked about before as I haven't been on the Forum for a while

Synchronicity...

This was mentioned in the "BL-444" thread only a few days ago, and I don't recall it ever being mentioned prior to that.  Have a look in the Members' Cars board.

cheers

Hey Leon.
Last time I saw it, it was mounted to a billboard on Parramatta Rd.

I knew I wasnt imagining the car, didnt it say"so I thought I might give it a burl on the old fb holden"
Parramatta road used to have some classics, I remember as a young kid it was always exciting to travel along parramatta rd with cars in the air, hanging out of signs, cut down cartoon like real cars and ofcourse the guitar shop car, even then I used to try and see what was in the window of american autos.
Thinking back to this add I was trying to think of the oldest holden add I could remember but all I can think of is gem gem gemini and the world class commodore, I remember the vk commodore looked real hi tech in the add and a couple of months I rode back seat in a vk calais all the way to canberra, it had a digital dash and stereo, I couldnt beleive the technology I had just experienced.

Anyway, are there any novacastrians or hunter people who remember a add for harry's on hunter (de wheels) about 8 years ago with a FC holden in it?
