Title: fuel gauge out Post by: willmoo on August 23, 2006, 06:59:45 PM First time on, just took ownership of my first fc ute. My plans are to keep her stock and for a gradual restoration the old girls still in pretty good nick. Now my first delema is my fuel gauge is out by about 3/4. When the tank is full it's only showing about a 1/4 on the gauge. Where should i look first? ???
Title: Re: fuel gauge out Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on August 23, 2006, 07:23:32 PM Welcome aboard willmoo, the first thing to do is check that all connections and that the earth is good. Bad earthing/grounding probably causes 90% of electrical faults. Use a test light to make sure the sender wire is good and clean up any connections to gauges and the body.
