Title: Toll free Nats
Post by: ridgey_didge on July 23, 2006, 05:46:22 AM
What a bonus - I got my e-tag account for the past 6 months this week and nothing shows up for all those trips through the tollways of Melbourne getting to and from Phillip Island.  I'm running a NSW RTA e-tag for use on visits to family in Sydney, so don't get the account often.
I was worried that the FE on the trailer would get slugged as only the Commodore towing her was tagged, but not a word heard until now.
Did anyone else find Melbourne toll free at Easter?
Cheers,
David

Yeah it's weird - Dad took two cars to PI, and had an etag in both.  Only one of them has ever been billed. (So when we went down for the Anniversary we took the other one with us for the hire-car ;D)

I did eventually get billed for mine, but it took quite a few months.

cheers

We got a couple of accounts for the ute, funny in this day and age they can track the car back to us yet can't consolidate the bills. I guess they'd lose that luctrative admin charge, at least the black car didn't billed  ;D

;)I paid my tolls B4 leaving Adelaide via credit card - they charged $10.50 per day; so two days = $21.00.  They said that if nobody pays in advance or has an account they will be slugged for the daily fee + fine.
("They" are the Vic Tourism).  Cheers Hotlips
