gee, Ben told me he hardly got any smoke due to hassles with the car, love to see what he calls adequate smoke.

nice pics.

Is “powerskid” the no brakes burnout?
If so, that’s a helluva lot of smoke.
Do they wet the track down as well?

Cheers

Ed.

Well new motors in  it made 320 at the tyres a little less than I hoped for but its a lot better than the old motor ran at the creek last night best pass was 12.4 @110mph it spat the fan belt during the run still has a bit more in it

Yeah i was  i need to change the convertor to get of the line a bit better
motor specs
Standard stroke 350 chev
Standard crank & rods
030 Hyper Pistons
Big solid cam sorry dont have specs
World Motown 220 Heads with roller rockers
Victa Jnr intake with 750 double pumper Holley
Full MSD Ignition

Also Full manulised turbo 350
Full spool 4.11 9 inch

so its nothing real spectacular but it seems to work really well the only problem is the HRs a bit heavy at over 1500kgs dry should go a bit better when I put it in my FC

Great work Ben, like Alex says 12.4 is a really good time for a fairly heavy car with straightforward engine mods.

I put your numbers into the on line drag calculator (http://www.turbofast.com.au/Drag.html) and it came up pretty close, using your weight estimate (1500kgs) converted to pounds (3306).

Here's where you enter your ET and Weight to get a calculated rear wheel HP figure

Well done.

If I put in a weight estimate for the same engine in an FC with the 9" and a chassis kit (about 1300kgs) with those HP figures you can expect a flat 12.0. Bit of luck and traction ;-) and you'll crack 11's.

Cheers,

Craig.

P.S: Say g'day to your old man for me.
