Title: Steering Wheel Resto
Post by: Glenn 'Stinky' Stankevicius on March 24, 2006, 11:23:44 AM
Has anyone heard of or used the POR15 steering resto kit? As seen here - http://www.secondchancegarage.com/public/475.cfm

Looks like just the thing for cracked and peeling FE/FC wheels.

Haven't used it, but thanks for the tip! :)

This is a job for doing while watching the V8's on sunday.

Hey stinky
A cheaper way is to sand down the old wheel a bit and fill the cracks with araldite two part glue. Sand and maybe fill and sand again until you are happy with the finish, then paint with two pak black.
I did my FB wheel like this and it came up like new   :). Although after a couple of years small cracks showed up in the paint where the repairs were done :'(
