Title: Phillip Island Historics
Post by: REDMR2RED on February 12, 2006, 09:43:50 AM
There was an FC racing at Phillip Island in the Historic Touring Car Section.

Brendon Wilson in Car No. 53 the Cameron Street Mower World 1959 FC Sedan, pretty much stock.  drum brakes, column shift, grey motor, etc.  Looked pretty good too chewing up the EHs.

Check the brake ducts under the front bumper  8) and the toe in on the front wheels  ;D ....... and the grille badge!!  :o

You restorers must be cringing looking at that!  ;)

The Grille badge was the first thing I noticed.  I'm pretty sure Brendon said the grey motor was running a single carburetta and single exhaust.  The FC had to be pretty much standard to be in ths Class he was in.  I didn't ask what engine work has gone on inside the motor.

I would be interesting to find out tho.
