Title: Stretched Ute VIC All Holden Day
Post by: REDMR2RED on January 30, 2006, 03:40:25 AM
Seen at the All Holden Day.  This stretched FC Ute, the car is an ongoing project in that it's not quite finished.

The paint was 10 out of 10, with a portrait of Elvis and Marilyn on the bonnet catch panel.  All the chrome is painted on and from a distance looked the real thing.

Jeez, just when you think you have seen the limits to what someone can do with a FE/FC along comes something like this to raise the bar even higher :o :o. What a SENSATIONAL LOOKING CAR :P :P :P

Does anyone know where you get that chrome paint from looks tops? Great looking Crewman. Is he going to the Nats?
Cheers,

It was awesome and attracted the biggest interest by far.
It was hard to get a picture without bodies all round.
In fact I think the FE FC Club had the best display of
all the model Holdens represented.

Graham, it didn't appear to be chrome paint, more just gray, blue and white.
What ever color it looked great and was something different.

Now that'd really upset the chromeplaters wouldn't it!

You'll see a lot of drag cars with airbrushed chrome/lights etc.... takes a skilled airbrusher for that kind of work. 8)

There was an FC ute "Variety Club Bash" car for sale a few months ago. It was a sedan with a ute back instead of a boot. It also had dual rear axles. I have not been able to find the photo again on the net.

This Crewman certainly looks good. Hope its got more back seat room than areal Crewman.
