Title: HR front end questions
Post by: fccool59 on January 28, 2006, 11:43:37 AM
Do hk stubbs fit HR front ends, if so will it make it any lower and if so would there be brakes to fit 13" wheels and if so what 13" wheels would fit?

HK stubs bolt on with all correct geometry and lower the car by 3/4 of an inch.
There is no brake available which will bolt onto this stub axle which will go inside a 13 inch wheel.
CRS stub axles will allow you to fit 13 inch brakes but lower the car 2 3/4 inches.

You might find it near impossible to get a 13" wheel to fit the CRS drop spindles. They wont clear the lower ball joint, it's a push for the 14"s to clear on my car.
I did fit the 13x6 ROH mags to mine with the drop spindles but had to use some washers between the wheel and the disc hub for clearance, I guess with the proper off-set or wheel spacers (legality?) you could get by.
