1. Getting some gas rams to replace the top gate strut-things. Otherwise it will be unmanageable. 2. Keeping the original latch/lock mechanism, as they say - if it ain't broke. 3. Keeping the top gate attached, remove the bottom hinges then dummy up the bottom gate so it's all lined up and gaps are even. Tack the two together and test, then weld up when it's all good. Voila!
