I have checked the brakes and the adjustment seems OK with no sign of over-heating. The car drives OK, hell, I drove it back from Castlemaine and it made the trip down to Mt Gambier and back without trouble. AFAIK the drive train is standard FC gear. Could it be that the car is OK, just a lot heavier than the Ute and Sedan? Next step I guess is to jack it up and give the wheels a spin, if the fronts are easy and the rears not, could be the diff. If it was bearings I would be hearing bad noises wouldn't I? We recently had reason to change the front bearings in our Falcon. Symptoms of a knock which increased with road speed and let off going around a left corner, but got worse going around a right hander. Passenger side was knackered, so both sides were obviously changed. |
