I have seen it done and reckon It looks pretty good, but if you are after the OEM look, I don't think it is very similar. Was thinking about powder as an alternative because it's closer to the powder coater than the plater, but as yet I havn't seen any of the powder coated silvers in reality only computer samples You say you're using POR15 - is that because it's close to a zinc finish or because it works out cheaper or both. The powder coater I use has a pin-up board with samples of every colour that they stock. I have seen this at other powder coaters too, maybe you should drop by your local coater for a squiz. |
